WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe...

That the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments is the only divinely inspired and infallible revelation of God. It is our only written guide and final authority in matters pertaining to faith and life.

That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

That Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.

In the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit through whom man is born again to saving repentance and faith, and by whom the saints are sanctified and enabled to live a godly life.

OUR 8 CORE VALUES
Non-Negotiable Love
God's love is never on the negotiating table when we are in conflict with Him. Consequently, our love for each other should never be on the negotiating table when we are in conflict with each other.

Openness and Honesty
Brokenness and conflict is a part of every relationship in life. We recognize this as an opportunity for growth, not something negative to be avoided. God's power is best shown in our weakness.

Believing the Best
God believes the best about us, even when He sees us at our worst. And because God does that for us, we have the ability to do that for others as well.

Word Given - Word Kept
When we give our word, we keep our word because when God gives us His word, He keeps it.

Grace Before Truth
Grace Before Truth says "I see and value you for who you can be tomorrow, not just who you are today".

Stewardship rather than Ownership says that I have been blessed with talents that are mine to use, not own. There is a return on investment that is required of me.
OUR STORY
In 1998 small group of individuals felt led to plant a new church in the city of North Bay. From the outset, their desire was to aggressively and intentionally seek the deeper things of God with the knowledge that a life yielded to Jesus Christ would be a transformed life, and a powerful life.
Soon after beginning in a school gymnasium, the congregation purchased the property at 30 Lees Road in North Bay where they continue to meet.
Understanding that worship is to be a key component in the life of a believer, the congregation has determined to make worship in its various forms, an important part of their corporate gatherings. Whether through music or song, dance or art, or most powerfully, a yielded life, extravagant expressions of worship are encouraged.
The church family at the Harbour represents a healthy cross-section of our community, reaching from the very young - our nursery and Children's Church is booming - to more matured and seasoned believers - that just sounds a whole lot better than saying "the very old".
Our goal as a congregation is to reach out to our city with the love of Jesus Christ, while providing an environment where believers can grow in their relationship with God while exercising their spiritual gifts.
Along with our commitment to the local community, is our commitment to take the love of God "into all the world", and in that regard, we have been building ministry relationships across our country and around the globe.
Visitors have often commented on the sense of family and connectedness they feel at the Harbour, and we have always received those statements as great compliments. Our desire is to be a place where people can come and feel welcome and accepted - not becasue they have it all figured out - but because they desire to experience the love of God in a real and tangible way.
