Today we discussed the importance of fear setting after watching a TED talk by Tim Ferriss. With this understanding, we can put our fears under the microscope and really evaluate them to see how rational they are. Additionally, we can also write them down and then write down what the cost would be if we do no act in confronting our fears.

Quotes of the Day,
"What we fear doing most is usually what we most need to do." Tim Ferriss
"We suffer more in imagination than in reality." Seneca

We also discussed the coronavirus and had a game of improv.

Tonight we shared a scrumptious avocado hummus dip with chips and baby carrots.

The theme of today's study was on the importance of setting S.M.A.R.T goals defined as Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely. We decided we could change the final letter to G for Godly, It will happen in his timing anyway so in this way the goal still maintains timeliness.

We came to the conclusion that is important to stop distractions eg. the hundreds of notifications that come into our phones on a daily basis. It is one of many solutions that can allow us to have more focus on setting goals that can steer us towards our destiny and achieving them. Our solution was to go through the settings of each of the social media applications and turn off as many push notification as we could.

This scripture sums up our conclusion perfectly.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2

Tonight we also shared a delicious spinach cheese dip with lightly toasted naan bread (Mark II).

Today the youth attended a games night at the Lachance residence we played Fuzion frenzy, Uno and Bonanza.

While playing a mini-game in Fuzion Frenzy called Sumo (where the goal is to knock your opponent out of the ring gets smaller every 20 seconds). We decided it would be fun to see how long we could stay in the middle before falling off the edge of the ring. After many attempts that tested the trust of each player (Caleb, Denver, Isaac, Nathaniel) to remain as still as possible we finally succeeded in a never before seen in Sumo 4-way draw.
